Arvest Bank is proud to recently have been named in Oklahoma Magazine’s The Best of the Best of 2019.

According to the introduction accompanying this year’s selections, Oklahoma Magazine has compiled The Best of the Best in its July issue for 20 years to help its readers “find the finest in everything the state has to offer.”

The introduction also thanks the magazine’s readers for “your choices, your votes and your voices telling us who you think are the best of the best at what they do.”

In the “Bank” category, that includes Arvest.

“Arvest Bank is a top choice for mortgages, investments and trusts,” the article reads.

“On behalf of all our associates in Oklahoma, I want to thank Oklahoma Magazine and its readers for this recognition,” said Brad Krieger, executive vice president and regional manager for Arvest in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. “We strive for excellence every day, and we believe this recognition reflects that. We are humbled and honored to be included.”

The Oklahoma Magazine recognition follows Arvest being named by Forbes magazine among its “Best-In-State Banks” in Oklahoma. Forbes also named Arvest one of the “World’s Best Banks” earlier this year.

Children in Logan County will enjoy a fun filled summer thanks to a $4,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation to the Boys & Girls Club of Paris.

The gift was announced at the Boys & Girls Club of Paris. Heather Appleton, branch sales manager of Arvest Bank was on hand to present the check.

The funds will help the Boys & Girls Club of Paris to ramp up its summer programs and provide a safe and fun place for children to stay over the summer.

“On behalf of the Boys & Girls Club of Paris, I would like to express our gratitude for this grant,” said Holly Hurst, unit director for the Boys & Girls Club of Paris. “It will be of tremendous help during our summer program. Our plan is to use it toward the activities we will be running throughout the summer: STEM, field trips, arts and crafts, balls, hula hoops, bubbles, and any other supplies that will allow us to run a successful summer program.”

“From working and being active in the Paris Community I have had many chances over the years to partner with local organizations,” said Appleton, who also serves as vice chair of the Boys & Girls Club of Paris. “The Paris Boys and Girls Club is something I hold close to my heart as a community member and a board member. I spent a week last summer working in the club to truly understand the impact the club has for our local children.

“That week impacted me deeply. Children get two meals served each day during the eight-week program, and they also set up activities and field trips for the children, as well as providing educational programs to keep our children’s minds engaged. We are very blessed to have a Boys & Girls Club in Paris.”

A Spin on Spending - Fourth of July Celebrations

Thursday, June 27 at 08:00 AM
Category: Arvest News

If you’re having people come over for a Fourth of July cookout, turn your gathering into a potluck. This is a fun way to save money and involve your guests at every step. Create a list of needed items for the cookout, and share it with your guests ahead of time, letting them select which items they would like to bring. If some guests don’t want to bring food or drinks, they can always bring decorations or chip in some money for the cost of food. This is a sure-fire way to have a fun, stress free Fourth of July celebration.

If you’re spending the day at the lake or a park, be sure to make a list ahead of time detailing which items you need to bring to have an enjoyable day. By checking the list before you head out, you’ll be less likely to forget your sunglasses, towels, bug repellant, sunscreen, or lawn chair.

Download the Arvest Go mobile app to quickly make transfers to your friends and family from your Arvest account, to their Arvest account, if you need to make last minute purchase for the day’s events or to contribute funds to the celebration.
