Arvest Bank showed its commitment to the community in Oklahoma City and nearby Cleveland County recently, participating in two March of Dimes fundraisers.
March for Babies events were held in Cleveland County (April 29) and Oklahoma City (May 6), and Arvest associates gladly participated for a cause dedicated to giving premature babies “a fighting chance.”
In the Oklahoma City march alone, Arvest raised more than $24,000 to earn the top non-family team award. That included more than $13,000 raised by Arvest associate Ryan Cross. A vice president and commercial lender, Cross received the top fundraiser award.
The March of Dimes calls the money raised from these marches a “lifeline” for babies born prematurely, and the funds provide numerous other benefits as well. According to the March of Dimes, 1 in 10 babies born in the United States is born too soon, and premature birth is the No. 1 killer of infants.
The organization’s goal is to drive down the number of premature births and give more and more babies a fighting chance. Arvest was happy to help, and thanks its associates for their contributions.
