What would you do if you had $100 to perform random acts of kindness in the community? Here’s what Arvest associates in Fayetteville, Ark., did with their $100.

The only thing we asked of the receivers was to pay the good deed forward as part of our Pay It Forward endeavors.
- One group of associates paid it forward by handing out $10 Wal-Mart gift cards at Wal-Mart in Fayetteville.
- A couple associates went to EZ Mart in Johnson, Ark., and provided drivers with $5 toward their gasoline purchases.
- Some other associates went to Walgreens and bought shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant to donate to The CALL.
- A couple associates went to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville and handed out $5 to volunteers. The hospital has a lot of volunteers -- from the guys that drive the golf carts around picking up visitors to the ladies working at the front desks and in the gift shop.
- Another group of associates went to Buffalo Wild Wings and had a lot of fun paying $5 towards customers’ lunches. The regional manager for Buffalo Wild Wings was sitting eating lunch with a member of the Chamber. They both said that they would Pay it Forward to someone else. A group of guys at one table said that they would Pay it Forward to their server.
- Another group of associates gave $5 to random shoppers inside Wal-Mart and at the gas pumps.
A big thanks to the recipients of our Pay It Forward endeavors who took the initiative to pass along the good deed to someone else.
